Monetary Donations

The Library accepts monetary donations. If making a donation by check, please make it payable to Needham Free Public Library Permanent Donation Fund.

Book Donations

The Library accepts donations of books in good condition. Most donated items are sold in book sales, the proceeds of which benefit the Library. In rare cases, the collections staff of the Library will choose to add donated items to the collection. Donations of used books may be placed directly into the large gray bin inside the Rosemary Street entrance.

Please do not bring in materials with the following defects:

• Loose, frayed or broken bindings
• Yellow, brittle pages
• Soiled covers and pages
• Missing pages and illustrations
• Heavily marked pages
• Mutilation or damage

In addition, please keep in mind that books may be in excellent physical condition but contain inaccurate or out-of-date information making them of little value.
