The NFPL Afternoon Book Group meets the second Tuesday of the month from 1- 2:30 PM. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the monthly book club mailing list.
The Bookworm’s Evening Book Club, run by Reference Supervisor Sarah, meet monthly on Mondays from 7-8 PM. Adults and older teens (16+) are welcome to join! New members are always welcome! The Bookworm’s read books on a variety of topics including fiction and non-fiction titles. The next meeting will be on Monday, October 18th 7-8 PM on Zoom where they will be discussing Born on a Blue Day: Inside the Extraordinary Mind of an Autistic Savant by Daniel Tammet. NEW! The Spoiler Alert Book Club, a virtual book club for adults run by Reference Supervisor Sarah, will meet every other month on the first Wednesday from 7:30-8:30 PM starting on October 6th, 2021. Each year they will read books on a different genre. This year they will be reading Romance books! New members always welcome! The Comic Book Book Club, run by Young Adult Librarian Erin Bassett, meets the second Thursday of the month from 7-8 PM on Zoom. Teens and adults welcome (please note that more mature books may be read some months)! The next meeting will be on Thursday, October 21st 7-8 PM on Zoom where they will be discussing Through The Woods : Stories by Emily Carroll. New members always welcome! The Diversity and Discussion Book Club, cosponsored by the Trustees of the Needham Free Public Library, the Needham Diversity Initiative, and the Needham Human Rights Committee, meets every other month, usually on the second Thursday at 7:30 PM (next meeting TBD).
