Book Clubs

The Needham Free Public Library is pleased to host four book clubs for Teens and Adults. Register for the book clubs on the Events Calendar.

The NFPL Afternoon Book Group meets the second Tuesday of the month from 1- 2:30 PM, currently on Zoom. Email neemail1@minlib.net to be added to the monthly book club mailing list.

The Bookworm’s Evening Book Club, run by Reference Supervisor Sarah, meets monthly on Mondays from 7-8 PM. Adults and older teens (16+) are welcome to join! New members are always welcome! The Bookworm’s read books on a variety of topics including fiction and non-fiction titles. The next meeting will be on Monday, June 27th 7-8 PM, no book to read for June instead they will be choosing the books to read for the upcoming year! Please register on the Events Calendar. (Please note, the Bookworm’s will not meet in July & August).

The Comic Book Book Club, run by Young Adult Librarian Erin Bassett, meets the third Thursday of the month from 7-8 PM on Zoom. Teens and adults welcome (please note that more mature books may be read some months)! New members always welcome! Please register on the Events Calendar to receive the Zoom link. *Note that the group will NOT be meeting over the summer in July or August. The last meeting for the academic year will be June 16, 2022 and will resume on September 15, 2022*

Needham Connects…Building Empathy through Books and Conversation: Formerly known as the Diversity and Discussion Book Club, cosponsored by the Trustees of the Needham Free Public Library, the Needham Diversity Initiative, and the Needham Human Rights Committee, meets every other month.
