The NFPL Afternoon Book Group meets the second Tuesday of the month from 1- 2 PM, currently as a hybrid meeting on Zoom & in person inside the Library’s Community Room. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, September 12th where they will be discussing The River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt’s Darkest Journey by Candice Millard. The Comic Book Book Club, run by Young Adult Librarian Erin Bassett, meets the third Thursday of the month from 7-8 PM on Zoom. Teens and adults welcome (please note that more mature books may be read some months)! New members always welcome! We will be breaking for two months over the summer. The next meeting will be on Thursday, September 21st where they will be discussing Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Please register on the Events Calendar to receive the Zoom link.
Needham Connects…Building Empathy through Books and Conversation: Formerly known as the Diversity and Discussion Book Club, cosponsored by the Trustees of the Needham Free Public Library, the Needham Diversity Initiative, and the Needham Human Rights Committee, meets every few months.
