1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is an organization that promotes reading to newborns, infants, and toddlers and encourages parent and child bonding through reading. The site provides book lists and other resources to assist parents and caregivers with the goal of reading 1,000 books to children before they reach kindergarten. They have recently added the following recommended educational apps to their resources page:

American Library Association (ALA) Great Websites for Kids
Choose from a variety of subjects ranging from the arts to computers.
All websites are recommended by the ALA.

Special Education Resources
Collection of Internet information resources related to special education.

The History Channel Classroom
Lesson plans for teachers and study guides for students on a variety of historical topics.

Helping Your Child Learn to Read
Activities for children from infancy through age 6. Also includes information on how to help kids get started and to continue reading.

National Child Care Information Center
