Policy:
The library offers two parking areas for its customers and staff, the library parking lot (accessed from Rosemary Street) and the Christ Church, Episcopal parking lot (accessed from Highland Avenue). The library parking lot is reserved for library patrons. Library staff members will be allowed to park in the library parking lot on those occasions when the church reserves its parking lot for a funeral or other church activity. Normally, staff should park in the Christ Church parking lot. This parking lot is a shared-use area. Other users include Christ Church parishioners, employees, and church building renters, plus Sudbury Farms employees. The library rents 65 parking spaces for its customers and staff. The specific spaces are not designated. The six Expressions After School buses park in the north end of the lot, except during winter, when this area is used as a space for plowed snow. Neither parking lot is for use by Rosemary Recreation Complex users, commuters, or Needham High School students, faculty, or employees.
Regulations:
When using either of these lots, patrons should:
Park only within the painted lines (not across them)
Honor the handicapped parking area (Town by-law 3.4)
Observe the areas that specify NO PARKING
Never block exits or fire lanes (Town by-law 3.6.1.2 and 3.6.1.3)
Persons using both parking areas must watch out for children. They must be especially careful at the library main entrance area.
Bicycles must be placed in the bicycle rack and locked. They must never be left on the walks. No bicycles are allowed inside the library.
No skateboarding or rollerblading is allowed on library property.
